Review of The Shepherd: Border Patrol (2008) by Ali M — 06 Nov 2008
I can't say that I was expecting anything from a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie, but the writing here is really atrocious. Jean-Claude Van Damme plays a transferred cop from New Orleans to clean up the border in Texas, and he carries around a rabbit, and there is a band of criminals who are trafficking contraband in Mexico, and the plot doesn't make a lick of sense.
The only thing that works in this movie is when it is in the heat of the action scenes, when Van Damme is giving all those high, roundhouse kicks. Unless you're a HUGE Van Damme fan, avoid, because the plot is yeck.
