Review of The Sheltering Sky (1990) by Philip M — 06 Dec 2007
Read it and weep. Watch it and... weep, but so achingly beautfully.
To tell you how good this is; Winger had to 'retire' for a few years and went on a pilgrimage to Bowles' north African home to help her 'debrief' from being in character.
Plot: 1930's north africa, a doomed relationship with Malkovich leaves Winger stranded in north africa where she goes walkabout with the Toureg.
The Sakomoto OST is 10/10 too.
