Review of The Sheltering Sky (1990) by Steven M — 09 Mar 2010
I didn't have great expectations but have decided that Bertolucci is always capable of at least keeping my attention. I thought Winger's was the standout performance, especially in the final third of the film. I also liked the bookends of narration. The final one being especially poetic, "And yet it all seems limitless".
This film contains a wildly gratuitious Malkovich genital shot which is hilarious too.
