Review of The Shawshank Redemption (1994) by Dean W — 03 Feb 2014
Simply brilliant, although the rewatch value is not as high as some movies. This movie will never go out of date, as it relies on actor talent alone and not special effects. Freeman's acting and narrating are excellent, and Tim Robbins plays the part of Dufresne. The escape method is a defining moment in cinema.
Salvation lies within.
