This proves why "Forrest Gump" should not have won. This movie is hard to watch, not the lightest fair, but everyone loves it and in the end, it redeems itself. It is a wonderful piece. Well written, well directed, well cast and really well acted, the only flaw may be that it is a tad contrived and it looks a little 90s.
But it should hardly damper the film because it is too well done to be overlooked.
