My personal favorite film of all time- 'The Shawshank Redemption' just hits all the right notes. The story is wonderful- great commentary of how effective criminal reformation is in our justice system.
The Characters are wonderful- the friendship between Andy and Red is undeniably well done and one can perfectly understand the motivation of each character whether your cheering for or against them. It's emotional in it's core scenes, in it's memorable/quotable and most importantly for me- It is the one film that I will always come back to time and time again and am willing to share with anyone I meet.
This is the film that I am more passionate about than any other movie, and I don't see that changing anytime in the near future.
