Review of The Shawshank Redemption (1994) by James S — 06 Oct 2016
This film is rightly remembered as a classic of American cinema. A standout performance from lead actor Tim Robbins, it tells the sensitive tale of life in prison for an innocent man. WARNING! It can be brutal, but the way Robbins works his way to respect from both the inmates and the faculty, before eventually SPOILER ALERT making his way out is an extremely uplifting story and anyone who doesn't cry at the Brooks sequence has a heart of stone.
