Review of The Shape of Water (2017) by Kathy L — 03 Mar 2018
While the cinematography was absolutely beautiful, I found the movie to be boring. I knew what to expect (i.e., that this was a fantasy story), but I could not emotionally engage with the characters at all.
I was checking the time throughout the entire movie and was definitely happy when it ended. The film should definitely receive an award for cinematography, but if this wins best picture, I will be extremely disappointed.
