Review of The Shape of Water (2017) by Gary W — 13 Apr 2018
This film explores the sexuality of a lonely, marginally disabled woman looking for love in all the wrong places. There are a number of scenes that turned my stomach and although a science-fiction film at heart, it had too much of a dramatic, socio-political love story element for me to dismiss it as pure fantasy.
Good films should make you think, laugh, cry or cheer, This one just made me nauseous.
