Stylistically unique and beautiful The shape of water is an original and thought-provoking film about finding your voice. This movie Laced with clever symbolism and truly special acting, with Sally Hawkins giving an emotionally moving performance without saying a word.
The score is beautiful and matches the story perfectly. However despite these aspects secondary characters at times can come across as one dimensional removing some believability. Nevertheless this film is an enjoyable piece of cinema that lingers with you after watching.
