The Shape of Water is a 2017 American romantic dark fantasy drama film directed by Guillermo del Toro.
Water, love, and a monster who doesn't transform, this 'Fairytale for Modern Times' is basically a romance which I enjoyed very much. Set in the early 1960s, this period movie features outstanding settings and scenes, I cant remember a film where the contrast between light and shadow works so beautifully. Although it is not a prefect film, at times being a little too co-incidental and convenient, I was happy to overlook these slight flaws. I really enjoyed the original score, along with the trip down memory lane and the many music, film, and TV references. And I also enjoyed the numerous shade of green!
