There's no denying the flawless craft in "The Shape of Water". Its beauty draws you in, and promises an emotional cinematic experience. However, it doesn't live up to that of what is billed.
I commend its unparalleled originality, but it's clear this is conceived from a sci-fi brainchild whose romantic fantasies can't quite connect with a wider audience.
