Review of The Shape of Water (2017) by Colin M — 20 Dec 2017
I suppose at this point, I should have realized that this movie would not be a great tail of fantasy considering the background of those who produced and wrote it, but the reviews were glowing and I gave in to wifely pressure.
Somewhere between Stephen King and Mel brooks, this movie is just a trip into the absurd. None of the characters are real; the situations are filled with unexplained non-plot conflicts. It is truly a waste of a fabulous talent like Octavia Spenser.
