So I did finally got to watch The Shape of Water. There were several things I liked about the film such as the bonding with Elisa and the Asset, but for the most part, I don't hold this movie to the highest bar. The whole equality I understand entirely, but it feels kind of forced. I honestly felt that there could've been more buildup between Elisa and the creature, because it honestly felt they jumped right to the chase. Or introducing the Asset within the short amount of time the movie began.
Overall, it's a pretty good movie, but I don't hold it as strong as Del Toro's other films are.
