The concept of this film could be considered 'Jaws' meets 'Gravity'. Although it never quite reaches to the level of quality that those films gave us, it is still a fitfully fun summer diversion.
Lively shows more of her dramatic chops than she has in any of her previous films (even if she body is somewhat exploited) and the cat and mouse game between her and the relentless shark is truly intense.
And who doesn't love watching gigantic carnivores eating people?
