The Shallows is a twinkling star in a summer filled with big budget giants. This movie looks beautiful. The scenery and cinematography is impeccable, flowing beautifully and building the suspense needed to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Shark movies, as seen in the past, have a history of introducing a very dull and unrealistic looking shark, the shark we see in this movie is a shocking cgi masterpiece and by far the most natural looking out of any ocean thriller I have ever seen.
For the length of the film and the limited cast of characters, The Shallows tends to run well and doesn't leave you dragging at any point, keeping you excited and intrigued all the way through.
