Adapted from the short story by Luis L'Amour stars Yankee, Tom Selleck as Mac in peculiar circumstances teams up with his older brother Confederate soldier Dal played by Sam Elliot to retrieve some of their nieces and Dal's wife, Kate (Sam Elliot's real life wife Katherine Ross) from a human smuggling operation for the expectation of rifles.
