Review of The Shack (2017) by Arg J — 08 Mar 2017
Embarrassing hogwash. A nine year old must have written this. Was forced to sit through the entire thing -- one of the most excruciating theater experiences. And selecting minorities to represent the Trinity was just ridiculous. Let's see. A black, salt of the earth woman to play Bod the Father, an Asian gal to play the Holy Spirit, and a Middle Eastern guy to play Jesus the Son -- sheesh. Oh, and not to leave out wise Native Americans, they dredge up one native elder to play Bod the Father in one key scene. All the bases covered. Check.
The questions asked in this story are the sort that small kids ask in catechism class. The film is just one long string of platitudes and trite bits of supposed wisdom ad nauseam. I can't think of a worse film that's ever been made.
