Review of The Shack (2017) by Steve A — 11 Mar 2017
I read the above "critique" of the movie, and I am wondering if they saw the same film I did?? Melodramatic cliches???" I am at a loss trying to come with one. NO sermonizing which made the movie so beautiful.
It showed the undying, beautiful, perfect and redemptive love of God and Jesus Christ. It taught a very broken man deeply wounded by the most profound hurt in his life, and showed him the pathway back to wholeness.
It was all his choice. A soft, sweet, gently guiding by God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit how to repair the hole that was left inside him, and the most beautiful explanation by "Wisdom" of why we are admonished not to judge others, and not to "second guess" God and his intentions.
Casting was excellent. Script was excellent. Acting, spot on. This film connected with my spirit in a profound way. It's the most beautiful movie I've ever seen.
