Review of The Shack (2017) by Seth C — 14 Mar 2017

I saw the movie without reading the book first... I had no idea what it was about, and I LOVED every minute of it. The screenplay, the special effects, the acting, the music... all of it had a delightful synergy.

I was feeling distant from God due to my own backsliding and abuse from a sociopathic pastor years ago. And this film was therapeutic for me. God used it to bring me closer to His heart, and I felt years of pain, resentment and unworthiness disintegrate within me.

I don't know how to explain it, and I certainly wasn't expecting this. I started reading the book now... hope it's as good as the screenplay. :).
