I recommend the movie! Is it perfect? No. Is it good? YES! I see reviews speaking of sermonizing - yet, after watching the movie, I believe that people have more of a problem with church and Christians than they do with the movie itself.
Perhaps they fear that this whole "God thing" may be true, or, perhaps, they hope it is true, but are afraid that it really isn't. Whatever the motivations - this movie deserves better reviews.
Review the movie - not our own personal doubts or fears! Sure the whispered dialogue of the main actor is a bit annoying - but, if you think about it - that plays right into the character's life. For all those people that are "warning" against this movie because of the bad theology.
.. it is a MOVIE... it is NOT God-breathed Word of God! If you come to this movie looking for Jesus... you will see Jesus is a paid actor - not the real thing! Go see the movie, then, decide for yourself if God is worth looking for.
