Review of The Seventh Sign (1988) by Wade C — 21 Apr 2011
Look, don't compare this movie with those referenced by the so called critics such as the Omen and the Exorcist. Those are horror films, this is not. These so called experts can't even get the genre correct.
This is a suspense film. Those who hated it didn't understand it, they didn't get the big picture. It is not a movie to make direct references to Bible specifics or issue a sermon. It is a movie however to make you think based on perception, values, and some theology.
The end will come one day and it's not up to any of us to conclude how or when. There will however, be signs as told in the Bible, some of which were indeed referrenced accurately in this film, contrary to many of the ignorant reviews posted against this movie.
This is a movie people, but the purpose of a good movie is to enhance our perceptions, open our minds, and enlighten our senses. For those reasons this movie is a triumph.
