This is a beautiful film about meaningful sexual emotion. It brought me to tears - without trying to. John Hawkes' has entered my personal pantheon of acting heroes. His range as an actor - this combined with the likes of Deadwood and Winter's Bone - ranks him as a kind of unassuming American Olivier.
Helen Hunt's nuanced performance is exquisite genius.
