Based on the true story of Mark O'Brien, who since the age of 7 was mostly confined to an iron lung, and at age 38 seeks the help of a sex therapist (played by Helen Hunt) to lose his virginity. The story is filled with sensitivity, humor and grace in its exploration of how this man's remarkable spirit touched so many hearts.
William H. Macy is terrific as the priest who encourages Mark.
