The plot is not much more than one would get from hearing two sentences describing the film. In a way, its a more serious and grownup version of American Pie featuring a journalist and poet with a disability.
He seeks to lose his virginity...with the blessing of a priest. There are some very, ahem, touching moments and Helen Hunt and John Hawkes are great in their roles. I just expected the movie to be a little bit deeper.
