A fascinating true story of Mark O'Brien, a disabled poet/writer confined to a gurney and lung device, who seeks sex for the first time at the age of 38. Oscar nominated Helen Hunt is the sex surrogate who bares all (and I do mean "all") to bring out O'Brien's sense of humor, touch and feelings.

But this movie is about more than just one person's physical challenges, breathing, and sex. It's about human beings--and our needs & pleasures. Helen Hunt brings her best performance ever in a film.

Likewise, William H. Macy and others earn high marks for addressing religious, societal, and friendship questions surrounding a man's desire for sexual fulfillment. An excellent movie that won dramatic honors at the Sundance Film Festival and will leave you laughing, more informed, perhaps shocked, but definitely glad you saw it.

Grade: B+.
