Review of The Sessions (2012) by Josh W — 12 Feb 2014
An unexpectedly humorous and immensely touching movie about overcoming physical obstacles with a sense of humor, The Sessions propels itself from the typical sympathetic true story about a physically disabled person thanks to John Hawkes' self-aware and modest performance, as well as a refreshing goal for the said handicapped person.
You don't feel bad for his character; instead, you actually become engrossed in his character because he is so likable.
