Review of The Sessions (2012) by Zack F — 07 May 2013
John Hawkes wonderfully captures the poetic joy and humor of his character's spirit and sexual urges despite his tragic circumstances. The Sessions perfectly walks the line perfectly between the story of sex and the story of a man who achieves his dreams despite his circumstances being against his favor.
It is too bad that the makeup artists did too much with Helen Hunt, distracting her strong performance with some demonically sculpted eyebrows.
