I have been waiting a long time for a movie to indulge my fashion passion and this is it! Ever since that Long Island summer I turned sixteen, when my best friend Roberta clued me in on the concept of the September Issue, albeit for Glamour Magazine, I've been fascinated with all that goes into putting fashion magazines together, especially the big one, Vogue's September Issue.
The lure of reading a fashion magazine goes beyond the clothes: it's also the writing, editing, photography, advertising and travel of the fashion industry - the complete package. Based on this movie: Vogue is my bible, Anna Wintour is the pope, Andre Leon Talley is the court jester, and Grace Coddington, the power behind the throne.
Anna and Grace are the perfect pair who somehow always generate fashion genius in every issue. Long may they reign. Got to read, I mean see, The September Issue again!
