Review of The September Issue (2009) by Natalia F — 27 Sep 2009
Highly entertaining, though I am not sure how much interest there would be for anyone not interested in fashion. It is interesting that they managed to get this film out, as I am not sure how Anna Wintour could have approved of it as she comes across quite badly. However, the fabulous Grace Coddington is given the portrayal she deserves, showing that some people involved in fashion are truly artists, rather than just air-heads. (If you want a stereotypical fashion air-head, look no further than Andre Leon Talley, who pops up now and then in this movie).
Overall - if you are interested in fashion, you will probably like this movie. If you are not, probably best to give this one a miss.
