Review of The September Issue (2009) by Hadijah M — 28 Dec 2009
Once, while I was in Paris, I walked past Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld on Rue Cambon, just outside the Maison de Chanel, on the way back to my hotel. This documentary is somewhat like that moment in my life. Fleeting, yet memorable.
The most "real" part of this whole film is when Grace discusses the budget with Anna while camera crew are filming. You just get the sense that Anna Wintour put up a front while cameras were following her around.
Watch if you love Vogue. Don't watch if you're not a fashion follower/believer in fashion.
