This movie was bad. Given that you have not read the books, the movie's plot was overly predictable and scenes that were meant to be intriguing were dull. A lot of senseless holes in the plot. How useless were those Old Ones? How exactly do you keep that Tom secret from everyone? And what about the lamest final battle ever? With Narnia and LOTR rocking this genre, The Seeker is just a failure.
