Review of The Secret of NIMH (1982) by Celonia C — 27 Jul 2008
This is easily one of my all-time favorite animated feature film (AFI recently did their top 10 animated films, and all were either Disney or PIXAR moviesâ?¦they didnâ??t know what the hell they were talking about).
This is a Don Bluth film, one of his first, and the animation is excellent, the pacing and mood play out like adult fantasy fare (ala The Hobbit). But these are furry animals (and rats) that feature awesome characters and a bloody swordfight at the end! How can you hate on that?
