Review of The Secret of Moonacre (2009) by Edd G — 12 Feb 2009
Clearly inspired by a novel, as it made little sense without it. The acting was terrible, especially on the part of Dakota Blue Fanning who proves once again she cannot portray anyone other than a mildly shocked girl.
The script was apalling, with characters making random intuitive leaps or social connections. Almost more damning was the special effects, which were simply awful. The only thing that would have saved some face might have been the inclusion of bacon, so I could have at least made a "Moonpig" related joke.
Sadly, I was denied even that. A waste of time.
