I expected so much more from this film.
It seemed as if it was going to be a bit like The Secret Garden set in a fantasy realm.
A young girl finds herself orphaned and must go to live with an estranged uncle on a large and run-down estate. We all know the theme.
The secrets that she uncovers while at Moonacre just weren't enough to hold my attention for long.
I found myself drifting to sleep before the end.
There was something seriously lacking, but I'm not sure what.
