Review of The Secret of Kells (2009) by Tim R — 21 Sep 2010
Absolute magic, that is in my opinion the best way to describe The Secret of Kells. The art is very simple but is used to great effect and the story is full of wonder and humor with just a dash of scary (something to many kids films are ironically scared to include).
Really captures the joy of being alive the way the Miyazaki does so masterfully. Oh yeah and it has the best animal sidekick (that thankfully doesn't talk) in an animated film in a long time in a cool white cat named Pangur Ban.
