Review of The Secret of Kells (2009) by Jarred L — 21 Sep 2010
I can't say much about the story, as it seemed to be more about the lofty moral than anything else, but I can definitely say that the visual style and musical score were absolutely fantastic. "Secret of Kells" will take hold of you from the very beginning and won't let go until the credits have ended.
My only issue with the film was that it felt rushed at the end. I mean, an hour and fifteen minutes isn't that long in the first place, especially for a film as captivating as this, and rushing the end is disappointing to say the least.
Also, I would have loved to see more Aisling.
