Review of The Secret of Kells (2009) by Vinny M — 21 Sep 2010
The animation is stunning. The storyline is a little less so. I'm not sure that kids who are used to watching Pixar or Dreamworks will get their heads around the animation. It's extremely artful, and absolutely beautiful but maybe more art-house than anything else.
The film is an arthouse movie that wants to appeal to families too. It's a tough balancing act to pull off though.
