Review of The Secret of Kells (2009) by Shannon M — 30 Oct 2010

I absolutely love this movie. And if I say that at the start of my review then you know its good. First of all the animation is amazing. I can never get enough of it. Second, I love the characters. There's something extremely charming about a boy who lived in a walled in space for his childhood and a girl who controls and protects a forest.

Now for most movie veterans this might sound a bit familiar. If you have seen Princess Mononoke then this is sort of like that, but then its not. After I herd it was nominated for best animated picture against Up (and this was before I saw Kells) I thought there was no competition.

But now I think The Secret of Kells would be a fair fight, if only more people saw it.
