Review of The Secret of Kells (2009) by Thomas S — 15 Nov 2011

An astonishing display of remarkable animation. In fact, the images are so overwhelming that it's sometimes hard to keep up with the complicated story. This is not so much a kid's film but rather a retelling of a Celtic myth.

Despite the brilliant artistry of the film, the story is so specialized that it actually alienates viewers. I found myself not really caring too much about the characters. Although, the cat and the girl in the forest are adorable.
