An interesting experiment. I must applaud the visual style as it sets itself apart from traditional cell animation and the more prevalent rise of 3D animation. However, the film does feel a tad on the shallow side in terms of plot and I would have appreciated a more through explanation of the book of Kells for those of us who weren't religious scholars with a background in Celtic history.
