Review of The Secret of Kells (2009) by Phillip J — 31 Mar 2013
This is a gorgeous film to look at - as gorgeous as I imagine the Book of Kells is in person and not looking at the digital collection from Trinity College. The animation is a treat to say the very least.
The story of the nephew of an Abbot working with an travelling illuminator to bring hope to a people who are constantly being raided by Vikings is great. It's a lot to go on in such a short running time (80 min) but just watching it is reward enough .
