Review of The Secret of Kells (2009) by James R — 10 Mar 2014
The story is linear, but mature, the message multilayered: TSOK is a fable about culture preservation, leaving a legacy for the future, Faith and... Books. Apparently, all this motives seem stuff for academic gimmicks, rather than a compelling narration, but this Irish indie animated feature manage to say something about them being never simplistic and, on top of that, always BEAUTIFUL.
A blessed hand(drawing).
