Review of The Secret Life of Words (2005) by Ursula R — 03 Apr 2012
A very refreshing film. It's one of those films that slips under the radar and goes unnoticed. It's a little gem really. Not at all pretentious. Sarah Polley and Tim Robbins are both brilliant.
I think the film could've done without the little voice inside Hanna's head but it doesn't become irritating either. Life on an oil rig must be extremely monotonous and that is made very clear in this film.
