Review of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) by Jeff N — 03 Sep 2014

The premise isn't overwhelming and there's a nice nugget for a fantasy rom com, coming of age here, but ultimately 'Walter Mitty the reboot' suffers the same malady as the title character -- a lack of connection.

There are some funny running gags but they eventually end up detracting from the introspective path the movie puts Walter on --At some point you gotta jump and make the script a little less idiosynchratic and a little more wild and dangerous.
