When a movie is made based on a book or a remake of an older movie people tend to judge it based on how closely it follows them. I feel the book should represent the authors vision. The Movie, the actors, director and sundry.

A remake is only as good as the people that present it. It is their version, and not a carbon copy of what has already been. The bottom line here is, did you come away with more than you had going in.

If you like Ben Stillers stuff then you will probably like this too. If not then not. As far as his work goes, I feel it is a good example of Stiller. and that's all one can expect of his movie.
