I can see why this movie from some critics got bad reviews but you should not avoid this movie. It is beautiful, funny (not always but good amount) and in a way it's very artistic and peaceful. You can allow yourself to view this movie and criticize it but if you let yourself ignoring the flaws of the movie and immerse yourself in the movie it is a movie you would not regret watching.
