Review of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) by Joey C — 24 Mar 2016
I think it deserved a good four for acting, soundtrack (mainly Jose Gonzalez), and effects. Whether or not the story is parallel to the authors own life I do not not but I get the feeling the film is conscious of its form as of poetic license as a concept.
Walter Mitty is a metaphor for creativity, of open minded thinking and imagination. Indeed, I have been told his name has been used as a synonym for 'daydreamer'. I fully enjoyed it, and was inspired.
Ben Stiller is also quite hot.
