Review of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947) by Abigail O — 08 Mar 2008
I'd give this ten stars, not five, if I could. I just introduced this film to my children and nephew and they were all crying with laughter at it. Danny Kaye is an absolute gem and this film has everything - song and dance numbers, romance, intrigue, spies, danger, a fussy mother, an annoying pet dog, shady foreigners, mashers, pigeons that fly in the window every time the boss says "Mitty!" and awww, it's just lovely.
Plus the great song number "Anatole of Paris". It's impossible not to love this film.
