I love James Thurber's stories, and I love Danny Kaye movies. That pretty much sums up my reaction to this film. Mind you, the film bears little resemblance to the story, especially once the screenwriters have thrown in the arranged engagement and the mystery woman and the jewel thieves.
But still... how can you not laugh out loud?
